# Overview

> Automate your workflow with Cleft and Apple Shortcuts

    Add and configure Cleft actions in your shortcut

## Available Actions

Cleft adds these actions to Shortcuts and Siri. Search for "Cleft" in the actions list to find them:

* **New Cleft Note.** Start a new recording. Say "New Cleft note" or "Start recording with Cleft" to Siri.
* **Continue Cleft Note.** Add more audio to your latest note. Say "Continue Cleft" or "Add to my Cleft note."
* **Stop Cleft.** Finish and save the recording in progress. Say "Stop Cleft" or "Save my Cleft note."
* **Get Last Cleft Note.** Pull your most recent note into the rest of your shortcut. Say "Get my last Cleft note."
* **Get Last Cleft Transcript.** Pull the raw transcript of your last note. Say "Get my last Cleft transcript."

On Apple Watch, New Cleft Note and Stop Cleft are available; the others run on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

## Example Use Cases

* Create daily journal entries at specific times
* Send latest notes to project management tools
* Add notes with predefined tags based on calendar events
* Create notes from selected text in other apps

## Tips for Effective Use

1. Combine Cleft actions with other app actions
2. Use automation triggers based on:
   * Time
   * Location
   * Other events
3. Experiment with different combinations
